Warner Bros. Records to release vinyl packages on Black Friday

While many are in the midst of celebrating Samhain, corporate retailers have already started advocating the consumption of their products for special holidays sales.

The latest holiday sales announcement comes from Warner Bros. Records and affiliated labels promoting limited edition vinyl packages for Black Friday on Nov 29.

Warner Bros. Records, being a sponsor of Record Store Day, is offering the limited packaged music sold at independent record stores in a larger capacity.

The following special vinyl releases will be on sale for purchase:

Atlas Genius: “So Electric: When It Was Now (The Remixes)” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 12” – Limited to 3,000 copies

The remixes album features the exclusive Black Friday track “Electric (Vertigo Remix)” and a digital download card. Mastering credits go to Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Bad Things: “Anybody” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 7” – Limited to 3,000 copies

The 7” single features “Anybody” on Side A and another album track, “Say It Again,” on Side B. The Los Angeles band’s debut, self-titled album will be out on October 29featuring Olympic snowboarder Shaun White as the lead guitarist.

Dale Eaarnhardt Jr. Jr.: “The Speed of Things” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 12”  – Limited to 3,000 copies

Being pressed to vinyl for the first time, “The Speed of Things” is the band’s latest album, which will also include a digital download card. Mastering credits go to Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Flaming Lips: “Peace Sword” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 12” – Limited to 5,000 copies/ CD EP – Limited to 3,000 copies

The vinyl and CD editions of the Flaming Lips’ upcoming six-song compilation features new music for the film “Ender’s Game” with exclusive artwork and a digital download card. Mastering credit goes to Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Foals: “CCTV Sessions” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 12” – Limited to 3,000 copies

The Foals 12” features audio from the band’s video series filmed using CCTV, and will also include a digital download card. Mastering credits go to Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Nonono: “Pumpin’ Blood” in CD EP – Limited to 3,000 CD copies

The Swedish trio will have their debut EP available featuring a remix of “Pumpin’ Blood” by Brazilian rock band CSS.

Red Hot Chili Peppers: “I’m Beside You” in Gatefold pocket jacket, numbered, regular-weight black vinyl 12” – Limited to 5,000 units

The double LP features outtakes during studio sessions for the Chili Peppers’ 2011 album “I’m With You.” From August 2012 to July 2013, the album was released as a series of nine individual 7” singles, but the 17 tracks will be released together on the limited-edition Black Friday vinyl. Mastering for vinyl credits go to Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Skaters: “Deadbolt” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 7” – Limited to 3,000

This vinyl features the single “Deadbolt” from the upcoming debut album due February 2014 on Side A and the song “Stood UP” on Side B.

Tegan and Sara: “Guilty As Charged/I Run Empty” in single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 7” – Limited to 3,000

This vinyl exclusive will only be available at independent record stores. It includes the songs “Guilty As Charged” and “I Run Empty, both record by Mike Elizondo and released on the band’s seventh studio album “Heartthrob.”
