For fans of glam, the ’80s will be reincarnated with a late night rock show featuring Los Angeles’ Faster Pussycat Wednesday at Jerilee’s Pub, 2100 Elmwood Ave., in Lafayette.

After a seemingly successful performance at The Hideaway on April 1, the sleaze rockers Taime Downe (vocals), Danny Nordahl (bass), Xristian Simon (guitar), Michael Thomas (guitar) and Chad Steward (drums) will take the known local rock and metal stage at 10 p.m.

Band staple songs such as “House of Pain,” “Poison Ivy,” “Babylon,” “Don’t Change That Song,” and “Bathroom Wall” are sure to make the set list from their 1987 “Faster Pussycat” self-titled debut and 1989 “Wake Me When It’s Over” albums.

Tour mates Red Light Saints will open for Faster Pussycat at 9 p.m., with 50 Six Feet and Sweet Nothing preceding them with shorter sets starting at 8.

Tickets are available for purchase for $15 in advance at Jerilee’s, CD Land, Deal Zone and JL Records, but the price jumps to $20 the day of the show.
